I have started writing this blog in order to create a research diary,which can be read also by my fellow researchers, family members and other relatives.
I've chosen to write in English. Reason for this lies in the nature of the Internet. There are at least second cousins, but also more distant relatives, scattered around the world, who may google their ancestors.
First thing to do is to give a general description on the present stage of my research. Because my family (ended up in Turku on the southern coast during the last century) comes from different regions nearby the borders of Finland, I'll write a short story on each of the main branches.
